The Tackies are a Canadian rock band formed in 2015 in Ottawa. The band consists of Hans Vivian-Wenzel (lead vocals, guitar), Jamie Orser (drums), Mathieu Malette (guitar, vocals) and Galen Cussion (bass guitar, keys, vocals).

They have released 2 studio EPs, The Tackies (2015) and Beach Party (2017), and are currently in the studio working on new material with producer Jim Bryson.

Known for their eye-catching theme parties, The Tackies set their crowd’s expectations up for a high-energy show, teasing between upbeat dance songs and their unique take on theory rich riff rock with themes that take them away from being any ordinary rock band.

The Tackies have opened for LIGHTS, The Lazys, The Pack A.D., The Stanfields, Modern Space, Busty and the Bass, and Alvvays, among others, and have played festivals such as Ottawa Bluesfest and Canada Day in Saint John.
